We will read The Best American Short Stories 2025 together and write a draft (or a few!) of your own.
Each meeting, we will discuss the reading to develop our sense of what a short story can do, review a craft element of writing a contemporary short story, and write in community.
Outside of class, you will read ~2 stories per week from The Best American Short Stories 2025 anthology, edited by Celeste Ng, and work on your story draft, as desired.
Dates: 10 Sundays, June 7 – August 16, 2026 (except July 26), 6-8pm
Location: Co-working conference room at the Olive Dr. Davis, CA
Class only: $180. Register
